Do you ever hear the word kolang- kaling? Kolang- kaling, or in usual is called buah atap, is small fruit of aren tree. The shape of kolang- kaling is oval. Kolang- kaling has white transparent color, like lontar fruit. Kolang- kaling’s size is varying. There is small, there is medium, and there is big. Kolang- kaling is proper as opened menu, with adding coconut, syrup, or ice. Kolang- kaling has already known by Javanese people since a long time ago. Kolang- kaling is believed that it can help to fluent constipation (BAB).
Kolang- kaling is delicious as mixed food ingredients. Kolang- kaling is fresh. Kolang-kaling contains of high water.
It is easy to make kolang- kaling ice.
1. Wash kolang- kaling clearly.
2. Put kolang- kaling in rice’s washing water.
3. Boil kolang- kaling with adding water, orange leaf, pandan leaf.
In the fasting month, the selling of kolang- kaling increases dramatically. It can be 2 times. The usual price of kolang- kaling (Rp. 5.000, 00/ kg) increases to be Rp. 6.000, 00- Rp. 7.000, 00/ kg). You can buy kolang- kaling from the market merchant whom you usually buy to make you get the good price. All main foods experience increase.

Hi, there is good news to you whose hobby is making cake!
This is a recipe of steam cake (bolu kukus). Please enjoy!

Ingredients:
5 egg yolk
4 white egg
250gr sugar
300gr flour
½ teaspoon cake soda
175 cc soda water (Sprite/ 7Up)
½ teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon chocolate powder for coloring

Method:
* Base +/ 20 prints of steam cake with bread paper, then put in to steam pan which the water is boiling.
* Mix eggs, sugar, and vanilla until coagulated and up then put in turns, ½ part of flour, ½ part of soda water, continue until the dough empty, mix in level. Take 5 tablespoon of dough, give chocolate powder, mix in level.
* Pour the dough to the print until almost full then add 1-2 teaspoon of dough which is given chocolate powder.
* Close steam pan, cook +/ 20 minutes with big fire without open the closer. Steam until ripe and crack, in +/ 25 minutes
To 20 steam cakes.
