Yesterday (26 September 2008); I came to Hua Yen Seafood Restaurant to attend a special event of friend’s wedding, Tommy & Yensia. I said “Happy Wedding” to Tommy & Yensia. I and all guests (VJDJ) were happy that we could celebrate your wedding together. We congratulated your new life. Congratulations! We hoped you could keep the true love. Please do not forget your wedding agreement to be a couple of love forever!

A wedding is nothing without child, so please have child soon!

Tommy & Yensia wedding was a special event. It was the first time a monk (Bhante Dammasubho Thera) gave blessing of wedding at Jakarta. great!!!

We pray that the wedding can be the best day of Tommy & Yensia and will take luck for both of you.

Meet & Go Green was an event which was created on 13 September 2008 by alumni of English Department, Bina Nusantara University. Every participant of Meet & Go Green must transfer Rp.100.000, 00. Meet & Go Green was the 1^st reunion of BiNus English Department. Meet & Go Green was lead by Natalia Susanto.

Meet & Go Green passed enthusiastically. There were sharing, modern dance, choir (PARAMABIRA), dinner, and launching of BiNus alumni website (www.binusian.org/alumni). You could find everything in there, also graduated bee merchandise. In BiNus; there was BiNus Alumni Center (BAC), a forum to respond alumni’s activities.

Meet & Go Green was presented by Mam Wiwiek, Mam Ruth, Mam Ienneke, Miss Rissa, and Mr. Akun. I was happy to present Meet & Go Green. Meet & Go Green was a special event for me. I could meet some of alumni directly. Meet & Go Green was an unforgettable moment.

We said thank you to Human Capital magazine, D’ Lofts apartment, and also Tarzan Studio Photo as sponsors of Meet & Go Green. We thanked to team who worked hard to prepare Meet & Go Green. We also didn’t forget the message of Mam Wiwiek: We would make a meeting again and produce something with English Department (translated organization, etc.).

My first testimonial of Meet & Go Green: Next reunion, I will expect that all alumni of English Department will join the meeting. The second testimonial: Please provide jobs which specially prepared to alumnus! (It would build up their career!) The third testimonial: Please make a study tour (Singapore)! Meet & Go Green

On 23^rd August 2008, I and my big family celebrated the 101^st grandma’s birthday party at Puteri Duyung Cottage (Pavilion Lumba- Lumba). The birthday event was so special because all members of the big family came to see the 101^st grandma’s birthday party. Since the past, my grandma had already waited the birthday event. Our big family praised to the Lord that grandma could celebrate the 101^st grandma’s birthday. The secret of her long life is she always eats natural food, without any MSG (monosodium glutamate). She is great that she never forgets with each members of the big family. She has 7 children: 3 daughters and 4 sons, grandsons, granddaughters, etc. In addition; the birthday event was more enthusiastic by the visiting of her sons from Hong Kong and her grandson in law from Japan. But unexpectedly, her grandson who lives from Texas didn’t come.

The first event of the 101^st grandma’s birthday was blowing candles and cutting of birthday cake. The big family circled her and sang “Happy Birthday” song. Grandma was looked happy in the birthday event, also with the big family. After that, the cake was given to the big family. The delicious food entertained big family in the birthday event. You could find appetizer, main course, or dessert. The big family really enjoyed the 101^st grandma’s birthday party.

Another special event of the 101^st grandma’s birthday was presenting the family tree. The birthday event was presented by big family and they need to introduce their selves. The 1^st child (daughter/ Lampung) has 2 sons and 2 daughters. She has grandchildren. The 2^nd child (daughter/ Jakarta) has 4 sons and 1 daughter. She has grandchildren. The 3^rd child (son/ Hong Kong) has 2 sons. He has no grandchildren. The 4^th child (son/ Jakarta) has 3 daughters and 1 son. He has grandchildren. The 5^th child (son/ Jakarta) has 1 daughter and 1 son. He has grandchildren. The 6^th child (son/ Hong Kong) has1 daughter. He has no grandchildren. The 7^th child (daughter/ Jakarta) has 2 sons and 1 daughter (ME). She has no grandchildren.

The birthday event was more enthusiastic with songs which were sung by grandma’s sons and daughters. The 101^st grandma’s birthday party became a meeting of big family in which each members of the big family shared stories.

The 101^st grandma’s birthday was closed with giving gifts and photo. It made the birthday event as an unforgettable moment. Each grandma’s child photo with his (her) children and grandchildren, and then he (she) was given a cake and a towel. The message of birthday event was: Next year, we will meet and make a party again!

The day was night. We saw the beautiful sky and enjoyed it. We played fire flower together. Some of the big family stayed at the cottage for 1 night. We rented 2 houses which were near. It is a good experience for me that I have an interesting moment with the beautiful view of lake and mischievous nephews.
